Wendy Ng Yan Yee and Nur Dhabitah Sabri won a silver medal in the women’s three-metre synchronised springboard final at the 2018 Asian Games at the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Centre on Wednesday.

They collected 298.33 points in total after six dives, which was more than their gold medal record at the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.

However, it was not enough to beat China, who scored 335.70 points for a gold medal through Chang Yani and Shi Tingmao.

Meanwhile, North Korea’s Kim Kwang Hui and Kim Mi Hwa took bronze with 282.78 points.

It was a sweet comeback for Ng, who was suspended for eight months following a doping case last August, as she collected her third consecutive Asian Games silver in the event, having won it in 2010 with Leong Mun Yee and 2014 with Cheong Jun Hoong.
