England bowler Liam Plunkett will miss the rest of the Twenty20 international tri-series and his side's one-day series in New Zealand due to a hamstring injury.

The 32-year-old suffered a minor recurrence of a left hamstring tear in Tuesday's 12-run defeat to New Zealand, England's third loss from three matches in the tri-series with the Black Caps and Australia. Plunkett had sat out the previous clashes due to the injury.

He will now miss the tourists' final T20 international with New Zealand on Sunday, with England requiring a big win to reach the final, as well as the one-day series, which starts on February 25.

Durham team-mate Ben Stokes, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of affray on Tuesday, could return return to the side for the ODIs against New Zealand after flying out this week.
