Bangladesh will again be without captain Shakib Al Hasan for the second Test with Sri Lanka in Dhaka.

Shakib missed the drawn opening match in Chittagong due to a finger injury sustained during the one-day international between the sides on January 27.

In his absence the Tigers put in a credible display as the two sides scored 1533 runs between them over five days, with 24 wickets falling.

Bangladesh had hoped Shakib would be fit to return for the final Test beginning on February 8, but he remains sidelined.

There is a recall for Sabbir Rahman, who is set for his first appearance in the longest format since October, the 26-year-old currently averaging 26.66 from 10 caps.

He replaces Rubel Hossain, while spinner Sunzamul Islam is also dropped from the squad after returning figures of 1-153 from 45 overs in Chittagong.
