Uncapped spinners Sunzamul Islam and Tanbir Hayder have been added to Bangladesh's Test squad to face Sri Lanka after Shakib Al Hasan's finger injury.

Shakib injured the little finger on his left hand while fielding in Saturday's one-day international with Sri Lanka in Dhaka.

The all-rounder had been due to lead the Tigers for the first Test in Chittagong, beginning on January 31.

He will now miss out, though, with vice-captain Mahmudullah expected to lead in his absence.

Left-arm spinner Sunzamul joins the squad after taking three wickets in two appearances during the tri-nations series that also included Zimbabwe.

Tanbir, a leg-break bowler who has made six first-class hundreds, could make his first international appearance since an ODI against New Zealand in December 2016.
