Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he didn’t want to name drop when he was asked about the congratulatory texts he received after winning the NBA Finals, but he just couldn’t help himself.

"I don't want to be a name-dropper, but I guess the one that kind of stood out was Tiger Woods," Kerr told 95.7 The Game on Thursday. "That was pretty cool. He and I connected last year over our back problems, so we've kind of stayed in touch."

Woods’ back issues are well-documented, but it was just last year when Kerr missed parts of the playoffs with recurring back issues that caused migraines.

Prior to 2017, Kerr missed the first 43 games of the 2015 season while rehabbing from back surgery. The Warriors went on to win an NBA-record 73 games that season.
