The Jazz have made forward Derrick Favors available in trade talks with the Bulls about power forward Nikola Mirotic, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Previous reports said the Bulls were seeking a first-round pick for Mirotic.

Talks apparently have progressed past the preliminary stage, and Mirotic, according to CBS Sports, is intrigued enough by Jazz coach Quin Snyder that he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause if the sides can agree on a deal.

Mirotic, 26, is averaging 17.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He missed the first 23 games of the season because of injuries suffered when he was punched by Bulls teammate Bobby Portis.

Also 26, Favors (12.5 ppg, 6.8 rpg) is due to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
