The Cavaliers may not have many options if they decide to move Kevin Love.
The 30-year-old forward hasn’t played since Oct. 24 because of a toe issue but his name has still surfaced in recent trade rumors. The marketplace for Love, however, is expected to be “very small” because of his injury history and large contract, an unnamed league executive told Bleacher Report.
Love signed a four-year, $120 million extension with the Cavaliers this summer shortly after LeBron James left the team and joined the Lakers. But, he appeared in just four games this season before being shut down with the injury.
Love said earlier this week he wanted to stay with Cleveland.
"I would love to be here," Love said, via the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "Would just love to get through a whole season healthy just because I've had nagging things that have taken time and been a little bit unlucky, but I would like to play ball here."
Love averaged 19 points and 13.5 rebounds in his four appearances this season. There is still no timetable for his return from the injury.
The Cavaliers will host the Pacers on Wednesday. They’ll enter that matchup with an 8-32 record.
