It appears the 76ers are doing everything they can to land LeBron James, including making a trade to acquire Kawhi Leonard.

Philadelphia was in Los Angeles to meet with James' agent Rich Paul and discuss what they have to offer to the four-time MVP. Among the pitches was the fact that "Philly believes it still has a real chance to win the Kawhi Leonard trade sweepstakes," according to Marc Stein of the New York Times, citing unidentified league sources.

ESPN also reported Saturday that the 76ers have engaged with the Spurs in trade talks. However, they aren't willing to include Markelle Fultz, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons in the conversations.

Leonard requested a trade out of San Antonio last month and it's been reported that the Spurs are ready to move on from the two-time All-Star. The Lakers, Celtics and Clippers are among the other teams that have engaged in talks. However, the Spurs likely won't agree to a cheap deal for their star guard.
