The Rockets lost another forward in free agency Monday.

Luc Mbah A Moute, who spent 2017-18 with Houston, plans to sign a one-year, $4.3 million contract with the Clippers, according to a report from ESPN. Former Rockets forward Trevor Ariza agreed to a one-year, $15 million deal with the Suns when free agency began July 1.

Mbah A Moute averaged 7.5 points and three rebounds in 25.6 minutes per game for the Rockets last season.

Houston is expected to increase its pursuit of Carmelo Anthony following the departure of Mbah A Moute, according to ESPN’s report. Anthony and the Thunder agreed to part ways last week.

Rockets star Chris Paul is reportedly pushing the Rockets to acquire the 34-year-old forward.

Anthony, a 10-time All-Star, hit just 40.2 percent of his shots and averaged a career-low 16.2 points per game for Oklahoma City in 2017-18.

The Heat have also been linked to Anthony while the Lakers are reportedly one of his preferred destinations.
