Add the Nuggets to the long list of NBA teams that will pursue LeBron James.

Now that the Nuggets have agreed to terms with center Nikola Jokic and guard Will Barton, it appears Denver has its eyes on LeBron James. The Nuggets have been in contact with James' agent and are "aggressively" working to set up a meeting, according to Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports, citing unidentified league sources.

Mannix added: "The Nuggets know it's a long shot, but Denver's ultra aggressive front office wants a shot at selling James on Jokic/(Jamal) Murray/Barton teammate trio — even if it's just for one year."

The Nuggets signed Jokic on a five-year, $147 million deal and Barton on a four-year, $53 million contract to start free agency Sunday morning. They also have Murray, who averaged 16.7 points last season as he transitioned to point guard.

James opted out of the final year of his contract with the Cavaliers on Friday and it's been speculated that the Lakers are the front-runner for the four-time MVP.

James hasn't meet with the Cavaliers in person yet, but according to ESPN, James and his agent still spoke with Cleveland general manager Koby Altman on Sunday to start free agency.
