The 76ers will get their shot at the King.

According to ESPN, which cited unidentified league sources, a "high level" group is scheduled to meet with LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul, on Sunday in Los Angeles.

The report noted that James is not expected to be in attendance for the meeting.

The Sixers have enough salary cap space to sign James to a $35.6 million annual max contract that could potentially pair the free agent with rising stars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

James opted out of the final year of his contract with the Cavaliers on Friday and the Lakers are rumored to be the front-runner to land the four-time MVP, though numerous teams have expressed interest.

James has yet to meet with the Cavs in person, but he and Paul reportedly spoke with Cleveland general manager Koby Altman on Sunday at the start of free agency.
