DeAndre Jordan reportedly still hasn't made a decision on whether to become a free agent, with the deadline just hours away at 11:59 p.m. ET Friday.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Jordan is "still deliberating" whether to opt out of his $24.1 million option for next year and become a free agent, or opt into the contract, and work with the Clippers on a trade to the Mavericks.
As for that latter option, Wojnarowski reported talks on a possible sign-and-trade deal have been dormant Friday. But Marc Stein of the New York Times reports a source said the Clippers would be open to taking veteran guard Wes Matthews in return for Jordan, "which does keep some hope alive for an opt-in-and-trade scenario."
Either way, the clock is ticking for the 6-11 Jordan, who averaged 12 points and a career-high 15.2 rebounds per game last season.
