Crowd favourites Anders Antonsen, Viktor Axelsen, Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen are among the Danish shuttlers expected to take to the court to restore their country's pride - in the past eight editions, only mixed doubles pair Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen won in 2011 and 2016.

EURO 2020 Qualifying: France vs Turkey

Schedule: Tuesday, October 15 @ 2:45am
Channel: Astro Supersport 2 (CH812 & CH832)
With 18 points each to top the Group H standings, six points clear of Iceland with three games left, both nations are pretty much shoo-in to qualify for EURO 2020 and can almost take it easy. However, with Turkey inflicting a rare 2-0 defeat of Les Bleus last June, expect the 2018 FIFA World Cup winners to have revenge on their minds.

ITTF Women's World Cup

Channel: Astro Supersport 2 (CH812 & CH832)
20 of the best female table tennis players are gathered in Chengdu, China, for the 23rd edition of the ITTF Women's World Cup. With the absence of last year's winner Ding Ning, current world champion Liu Shiwen, ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup victor Zhu Yuling, Europe Top 16 Cup holder Petrissa Solja and others stand a chance of becoming the newly crowned champ.

Rugby World Cup Quarter-Finals

Schedule: October 19 - 20
Channel: beiN Sports Rugby (CH825)
Now that the pool stage is done and dusted, it is time for the all-important knock-out stage, which is serving up cracking games. Wales and France face off in a Six Nations clash, defending champions New Zealand take on Ireland, who beat them twice in the last three meetings, and revenge is on the card for South Africa and England, who lost to Japan and Australia respectively at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Ligue 1: Nice vs Paris Saint-Germain

Schedule: Saturday, October 19 @ 2:45am
Channel: beIN Sports (CH818)
For the first time since the 2016-17 season, when they lost the title to Monaco, PSG are looking vulnerable, and other teams can smell blood. Due to injuries to their three pronged attack of Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, the Ligue 1 leaders have already lost to Rennes and Reims this season. Will Patrick Vieira's side make it a third loss for them?

UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs Weidman

Schedule: Saturday, October 19 @ 9:00am
Channel: Fox Sports (CH815 & CH835)
The upcoming event in Boston is headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Dominick Reyes and former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman, but everyone's attention should also be on a featherweight rematch between Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens. Their first bout in Mexico City a month ago ended in a no-contest after just 15 seconds due to the latter picking up an eye injury.

LaLiga: Atletico Madrid vs Valencia

Schedule: Saturday, October 19 @ 10:00pm
Channel: beIN Sports (CH818)
Diego Simeone's side have undergone a difficult period in the league recently, suffering three goalless draws in their last four league games. As both league leaders Real Madrid and defending champions Barcelona are likely to win their respective games, Atletico, who are three points behind, must beat Valencia to avoid the point gap to get bigger.

Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund vs Borussia Mönchengladbach

Schedule: Sunday, October 20 @ 12:30am
Channel: Fox Sports (CH815 & CH835)
The Bundesliga title race is tighter than it has ever been after seven rounds, with more than one-third of the competing teams within the striking distance to take the top spot, which is currently held by Monchengladbach. Dortmund, who are four points behind, have a chance to get back into the title mix when they host the surprise league leaders at Signal Iduna Park.

MotoGP: Japanese Grand Prix

Schedule: Sunday, October 20 @ 1:00pm
Channel: Fox Sports (CH815 & CH835)
Despite already successfully defending his title, making it his sixth in the last seven years, the season is not over for Marc Marquez. With nine wins to his name and four races left this season, he has an opportunity to match his impressive most wins in a season record of 13 set in 2014, as well as move ahead of Mick Doohan (54) in the all-time most wins list, starting from Japan.

EPL: Manchester United vs Liverpool

Schedule: Sunday, October 20 @ 11:30pm
Channel: Astro Supersport 3 (CH813 & CH833)
An under-pressure Jose Mourinho was sacked as Manchester United manager after losing to Jurgen Klopp's side last season, and now Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is facing a similar level of scrutiny after a poor start to the season. With Liverpool favourites to win at Old Trafford, will lightning strike twice?
