Malaysia will renew their rivalry with long-time foes Indonesia at the 2020 Thomas & Uber Cup after being drawn together in the group stage for both men's and women's tournaments.

The draw for the biennial international badminton championship, set to take place from October 3rd to 11th in Aarhus, Denmark, was held at the BWF headquarters on Monday.

In the Thomas Cup's Group A, the two badminton giants were pitted alongside the Netherlands and England, while the two nations would be accompanied by South Korea and Australia in the Uber Cup's Group B.

Besides fighting over regional pride and spots in the knockout stage, revenge would be on Malaysia's minds.

In the 2018 edition in Bangkok, Thailand, the men's team lost to the Indonesians to crash out in the quarter-finals, while the Malaysian ladies suffered a 2-3 defeat that contributed to their group stage exit.

The Monday draw also saw defending men's champions China being drawn together with Chinese Taipei, Australia and France, while female title holders Japan would duke it out with Chinese Taipei, Egypt and Spain.
