Lee Chong Wei and K. Srikanth will play each other again on Friday after both reached the men's singles quarter-finals at the 2018 Badminton Asia Championships in Wuhan, China.
The Malaysian shuttler reached the quarter-finals after overcoming China Qiao Bin (21-17, 21-16) on Wednesday and then Indonesia's Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (22-20, 21-12) on Thursday.
Meanwhile, his Indian opponent beat Japanese player Kenta Nishimoto (13-21, 21-16, 21-16) in the first round and then benefited from a walkover win against Hong Kong's Vincent Wong.
It will be their third meeting in a space of less than three weeks, having faced off at the 2018 Commonwealth Games with Lee losing in the mixed team event final before exacting revenge in the men's singles final.
In the other men's singles quarter-final matches, defending champion Chen Long will take on Angus Ng Ka Long, H. S. Prannoy will go up against second seed Son Wan Ho, and Kento Momota will meet Chou Tien Chen.
Doubles pair Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong are the other Malaysian representatives remaining at the tournament, beating Indonesian duo Berry Angriawan and Hardianto 21-16, 21-18 to set up a meeting with Japan's Takeshi Kamura and Keigo Sonoda.
They will aim to become the first Malaysian men's doubles pair to win the tournament since Choong Tan Fook and Lee Wan Wah in 2007.
