FINA World Aquatics Championship (Swimming)

Following several strong performances by Malaysian divers last week, it is time for their swimming counterparts to shine in Gwanju, South Korea. Welson Sim, Phee Jinq En and the rest of the Malaysian swimming contingent need to be at their very best to take on the likes of Sun Yang, Mack Horton and Katie Ledecky, especially with Olympic qualification berths up for grabs.

BWF Japanese Open (Round of 16 to Finals)

After a disappointing Indonesian Open outing, crashing out in the second round, Kento Momota is surely looking to make amends at his home tournament. Same goes for Japanese mixed doubles pair Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino, who did not make it past the first round in Jakarta. Meanwhile, Japan are looking strong in other events, with Akane Yamaguchi (women's singles) and Yuki Fukushima-Sayaka Hirota (women's doubles) taking home the Indonesian crowns.

Bangladesh Tour of Sri Lanka

After failing to play against each other at the 2019 Cricket World Cup due to poor weather, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka finally get to face off in three ODIs at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. However, the Tigers have suffered an early blow ahead of the series following withdrawals of captain Mashrafe Mortaza and Mohammad Saifuddin due to injuries.

MPFL: KL City vs Kuala Lumpur

Local pride is at stake in the Malaysia Premier Futsal League this week with the Kuala Lumpur derby taking place at the Panasonic Shah Alam Sports Complex. Ahead of the encounter, both teams have not had the best of seasons, occupying the bottom two spots on the league table, as Kuala Lumpur have managed a win so far, while KL City are still looking for the first victory.

ICC: Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid

UFC 240: Holloway vs Edgar
