Raphael Varane teruja dengan peluang untuk Manchester United memulakan era baru di bawah bimbingan Erik ten Hag, di mana pemenang Piala Dunia 2018 itu turut berharap akan memperoleh lebih kejayaan dalam musim keduanya di Old Trafford.
Juara Eropah empat kali, Varane, meninggalkan Real Madrid untuk menyertai United pada Ogsos lalu tetapi dia melalui kempen mengecewakan bersama The Red Devils, yang bergelut menamatkan musim di tempat keenam Liga Perdana Inggeris (EPL) selepas Ralf Rangnick menggantikan Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Varane melakukan 29 penampilan dalam kesemua kejohanan sepanjang musim pertamanya, di mana dia hanya dapat merekodkan enam perlawanan tanpa bolos dan United pula menamatkan musim dengan pungutan mata paling rendah dengan 58 mata.
Bagaimanapun, pelantikan bekas ketua jurulatih Ajax, Ten Hag, memberikan harapan baru bahawa United mampu untuk meningkat musim depan dan Varane mendedahkan mengenai keterujaan pasukannya untuk bekerjasama dengan pengurus berbangsa Belanda berkenaan.
"Ia musim baru, satu permulaan baru, jadi semua orang teruja untuk mengetahui tentang pengurus baru kami," katanya kepada media rasmi kelab berkenaan.
