Kesatuan Bolasepak Eropah (UEFA) menggantung sementara ketua jurulatih Bodo/Glimt, Kjetil Knutsen, dan jurulatih penjaga gol AS Roma, Nuno Santos, atas dakwaan serangan.
Santos dituduh menyerang Knutsen dalam terowong pemain selepas pasukan bimbingan Jose Mourinho, Roma, tewas 1-2 dalam perlawanan pertama suku akhir Liga Persidangan Europa (UECL) di Norway, Jumaat lalu.
Kedua-dua kelab kemudian mengeluarkan kenyataan rasmi selepas insiden itu, di mana Roma mengumumkan bahawa mereka akan memberikan kerjasama penuh kepada UEFA dan pihak berkuasa tempatan bagi menyiasat dakwaan itu.
Pasukan tuan rumah, Bodo/Glimt mendakwa bahawa lawan mereka itu telah memberikan maklumat palsu kepada media berkenaan insiden itu dan UEFA kini mengumumkan keputusan mereka.
Kedua-dua jurulatih berkenaan digantung sementara daripada terlibat dalam sebarang perlawanan peringkat Eropah sehingga satu keputusan lanjut diputuskan oleh Jawatankuasa Pengawalan, Etika dan Disiplin UEFA.
Knutsen menuduh Santos merangkul lehernya dan menolaknya ke dinding sewaktu keadaan tegang di luar bilik persalinan selepas perlawanan itu.
Ia merupakan kali kedua pasukan Norway itu menewaskan Roma dalam kejohanan itu musim ini, di mana jaringan pembukaan Lorenzo Pellegrini dipadamkan oleh penyudah Ulrik Saltnes dan Hugo Vetlesen dalam babak kedua.
Roma akan mencuba untuk menterbalikkan difisit jaringan dalam perlawanan pertama itu apabila melayani kunjungan Bodo/Glimt di Stadio Olimpico pada Jumaat ini.
