Ranieri membimbing Roma untuk meraih tangga keenam Serie A musim lalu selepas tiga bulan bertugas manakala sentuhan pertamanya sebagai pengurus Samp adalah menentang skuad Giallorossi itu Ahad depan.
Pengurus berusia 67 tahun berkenaan akan mengetuai pasukan itu yang kini menghuni dasar liga selepas tujuh perlawanan yang menyaksikan Blucerchiati menang sekali dan dan kalah enam kali.
Prestasi itu mendorong kepada pemecatan Eusebio Di Francesco minggu ini.
Satu kenyataan di laman sesawang rasmi Samp berkata: "Presiden Massimo Ferrero dan Sampdoria mengalu-alukan kehadiran Claudio Ranieri, yang menyertai kelab ini sebagai pengurus dan akan menggalas tanggungjawab bersama pasukan utama sehingga 30 Jun 2021.
"Presiden berharap jurulatih, kakitangan dan pasukannya bekerja dengan baik berlandaskan komitmen dan semangat."
