Gabriel Martinelli dan Emile Smith Rowe menjaringkan gol dalam separuh masa kedua untuk memberikan Arsenal kemenangan 2-0 ke atas West Ham dalam perlawanan Liga Perdana Inggeris (EPL) di Stadium Emirates awal pagi tadi, sekali gus menempatkan pasukan The Gunners itu dalam kelompok empat teratas.
Selepas aksi sengit dalam babak pertama, di mana percubaan Kieran Tierney menggegarkan palang gol lawan, Martinelli kemudian meluru masuk ke dalam kawasan penalti sebelum melakukan penyudah kemas ke penjuru bawah gawang lawan untuk membuka jaringan pada minit ke-48.
The Gunners meneruskan aksi dominan mereka dan Alexandre Lacazette berhasil mendapatkan sepakan penalti, di mana Vladimir Coufal turut dilayangkan kad kuning kedua berikutan kekasarannya dalam situasi itu, namun sepakan yang diambil sendiri pemain kebangsaan Perancis berkenaan diselamatkan bekas penjaga gol Arsenal, Lukasz Fabianski.
Bagaimanapun, pemain gantian, Smith Rowe, mengesahkan kemenangan pasukan tuan rumah itu menerusi jaringannya pada minit ke-87, sekali gus memastikan Arsenal memintas The Hammers di kedudukan keempat liga -- berkelebihan satu mata di depan seteru London itu selepas 17 perlawanan.
