Malaysia will renew their rivalry with Vietnam once again after they were drawn into Group B for the 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup on Tuesday.

The Harimau Malaya already faced Park Hang-seo's side once earlier this year when they lost 2-1 in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in Dubai.

It is the third edition in a row that both countries face each other in the group stage.

Malaysia lost 1-0 to Vietnam in 2016, while at the 2018 AFF Championship, Tan Cheng Hoe's team were beaten 2-0 in the group stage before facing them again in the final, where they lost 3-2 on aggregate.

Also in the same group are Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos.

Meanwhile, Group A consists of Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and either Brunei or Timor Leste.

The biennial regional tournament, which was postponed last year due the COVID-19 pandemic, is scheduled to kick off on December 5.
