Ronald Koeman mendakwa tidak ada yang mengecewakan di sebalik keputusannya untuk tidak memulakan Antoine Griezmann ketika Barcelona menang 4-0 ke atas Dynamo Kiev dalam aksi Liga Juara-Juara awal pagi tadi.
Pemain kebangsaan Perancis itu merupakan antara pemain gantian dan telah mengambil alih Philippe Coutinho pada minit ke-66, dan menjaringkan gol dalam masa kecederaan.
Gandingan Griezmann dengan bintang Barcelona, Lionel Messi, yang direhatkan daripada perlawanan di Ukraine, baru-baru ini diteliti, setelah komen oleh bekas ejennya dan bapa saudaranya.
Namun, Koeman mengatakan Griezmann "gembira" di Camp Nou dan dia hanya berhati-hati dengan beban kerja pemain berusia 29 tahun itu.
"Griezmann berada di bangku simpanan kerana memiliki masalah fizikal yang kita mahu berhati-hati," kata Koeman.
"Sangat penting untuk memberi rehat kepada beberapa orang dan bermain dengan mereka yang bekerja keras setiap hari tetapi tidak banyak bermain.
"Saya telah melihat dia [Griezmann] bekerja dari awal. Dia adalah pemain yang gembira, yang selalu memberikan yang terbaik untuk pasukan dan kelab."
