Pengurus Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri, mengakui peluang kejuaraan Serie A pasukannya telah hilang selepas tewas 1-0 di tempat sendiri menentang Inter.
Pasukan tuan rumah menguasai sebahagian besar pertandingan, menamatkan dengan 23 percubaan berbanding hanya lima daripada Inter, namun tidak dapat menghasilkan gol.
Gol penentu itu dibanjiri kontroversi apabila sepakan penalti Hakan Calhanoglu berjaya diselamatkan pada masa kecederaan separuh masa pertama sebelum VAR dan pengadil memutuskan pemain lain masuk ke dalam kotak terlalu awal, menyebabkan penalti diambil semula.
Calhanoglu enggan mengulangi kesilapan buat kali kedua, melepaskan rembatannya ke sudut kiri sekaligus memastikan kemenangan buat pasukannya.
Bercakap kepada DAZN selepas kekalahan itu, Allegri berkata keputusan itu menandakan berakhirnya harapan Juventus untuk bersaing merebut Scudetto tahun ini.
"Mulai sekarang kita boleh katakan bahawa Juventus sudah pasti tersingkir daripada persaingan merebut Scudetto," katanya.
"Sekarang kami perlu meraih mata sebanyak mungkin untuk tempat keempat, dan kemudian bersedia untuk permulaan yang baik musim depan bagi memenangi kejuaraan.
"Kami bermula dengan buruk, dan kami telah memulihkan banyak mata, tetapi dalam perlawanan penentuan [keputusan] telah mengecam kami."
