Cesc Fabregas telah mengesahkan dia akan meninggalkan Monaco apabila kontraknya tamat pada penghujung musim, tetapi pemain tengah itu tidak berhasrat untuk bersara lagi.
Bekas bintang Arsenal dan Barcelona, Fabregas telah dihambat oleh kecederaan semasa musim 2021-22, di mana Monaco berada tiga mata di belakang Marseille di tempat kedua dengan berbaki dua perlawanan.
Pemain antarabangsa Sepanyol itu menandatangani perpindahan percuma pada Januari 2019, dan menghabiskan lebih 800 minit Ligue 1 semusim dalam tiga kempen pertamanya di Monaco.
Bagaimanapun, dia hanya muncul dua kali dalam liga musim ini selama 36 minit dan Fabregas mendedahkan musim ini adalah yang terakhir bersama Monaco.
"Sudah pasti ia sudah berakhir antara Monaco dan saya," kata Fabregas.
"Kontrak saya akan tamat pada Jun depan, dan saya sedang mencari permulaan baru. Kepala saya memerlukan permulaan baru di tempat lain.
"Ia adalah tahun yang paling teruk bukan sahaja dalam karier saya, tetapi juga dalam hidup saya, kerana apabila saya tidak gembira dalam bola sepak, saya tidak gembira dalam hidup saya. Saya banyak menderita tahun ini, dan ia adalah sukar dari segi mental. Anda cuma perlu kekal kuat.
"Tetapi kadangkala perkara berlaku atas sebab tertentu. Saya bersyukur ia berlaku pada usia 35 berbanding 25 ketika saya berada di puncak kerjaya saya.
"Jadi jika anda melihatnya seperti itu - 19 tahun, hampir 900 perlawanan, memenangi hampir segala-galanya - ia mungkin lebih teruk."
