David Silva menandatangani kontrak lanjutan selama setahun dengan Real Sociedad, demikian umum kelab itu.
Perancang veteran itu tiba di San Sebastian secara percuma pada Ogos 2020 selepas meninggalkan Manchester City di mana dia memenangi 11 gelaran utama termasuk empat mahkota Liga Perdana Inggeris (EPL).
Pada April tahun lalu, Silva membantu La Real mengatasi saingan tempatan, Athletic Bilbao, dalam perlawanan akhir Copa del Rey 2019-20 yang tertangguh untuk menjulang trofi pertama mereka sejak 1987.
Kontraknya akan tamat di penghujung musim ini tetapi pemenang Piala Dunia berusia 36 tahun itu bersetuju untuk mengharungi kempen semusim lagi bersama kelab berkenaan.
"Saya cukup gembira. Sebenarnya saya telah berada di sini selama dua tahun yang sangat baik. Harap-harap ia berakhir seperti tahun lalu yang menyaksikan kami layak bersaing di Eropah," katanya dalam temu bual kelab.
"Kami memperagakan permainan yang hebat dan ia bagus untuk diteruskan untuk setahun lagi. Sebelum bersetuju melanjutkan kontrak saya tahu pasukan ini sedang beraksi dengan baik dan saya juga bermain dengan bagus.
"Adalah bagus kelab ini terus berkembang dan berada di sana setiap tahun untuk berjuang mara ke kancah Eropah."
