Mason Mount mendedahkan tindak balas di bilik persalinan terhadap prestasi buruk Chelsea menjadi azimat kemenangan 3-0 di Leeds United, awal pagi tadi.
Selepas kemarau kemenangan dalam tiga perlawanan Liga Perdana Inggeris (EPL) apabila kehilangan mata kepada Manchester United, Everton dan Wolves, kelab London itu menghasilkan reaksi berbeza apabila bermula dengan pantas.
Mount muncul antara pencetak jaringan buat The Blues menerusi golnya pada minit keempat sebelum Christian Pulisic dan Romelu Lukaku menokok kelebihan mereka dalam babak kedua ketika menundukkan barisan 10 pemain tuan rumah.
Pemain berusia 23 tahun itu mendedahkan betapa perlunya permulaan yang kukuh di Elland Road selepas kempen mereka menerima tamparan hebat baru-baru ini menjelang perlawanan akhir Piala FA dengan Liverpool, Sabtu ini.
"Pada awalnya kami bercakap tentang betapa besar maknanya minggu ini, ia tidak bermula dengan baik pada Sabtu lalu," kata Mount kepada Sky Sports.
“Kami memerlukan kebangkitan. Kami mempunyai beberapa hari untuk berkumpul dan meluahkannya dalam sesi kumpulan, beberapa kebenaran perlu dibangkitkan dan kami berjaya menyingkirkannya daripada sistem.
“Ini adalah satu perlawanan yang boleh dijadikan bekalan kerana kami tahu apa yang akan dihadapi seterusnya.
"Ia adalah satu perlawanan yang besar dan ini adalah langkah yang baik ke arah itu."
