Half-Malaysian Nick Swirad clinched the 2020/21 Thai League 2 title with Nongbua Pitchaya after beating Kasetsart 3-0 on Wednesday.

The Manchester-born defender, who joined the Thai side from Selangor at the start of the year, was also on the scoresheet as he headed the ball past the opposition's goalkeeper in injury time.

The win saw Somchai Chuayboonchum's team finish six points clear of Chiangmai United at the top of the standings.

Swirad, who is also co-host on Astro Supersport's Man On The Street, became the second Malaysian to win a league title in Thailand this season.

Norshahrul Idlan Talaha appeared for Thai League 1 champions BG Pathum United in the first half of the season and, according to the current Sarawak United forward himself, played enough games to qualify for a medal.
