Kebimbangan pegawai sukan negara mengenai persiapan Filipina dalam menganjurkan Sukan SEA 2019 bulan depan menjadi kenyataaan apabila masih banyak kerja-kerja pembinaan sedang dijalankan dan bukannya sudah siap 90 peratus seperti yang dinyatakan penganjur sebelum ini.
Penganjur ketika ini bergelut dengan masa apabila temasya dwitahunan itu tinggal 44 hari sahaja lagi menjelang acara pembukaan edisi ke-30 itu, seterusnya mencetuskan kegusaran mengenai aspek keselamatan.
Masih banyak kerja-kerja yang perlu diselesaikan seperti yang dibuktikan dalam kunjungan di salah sebuah daripada empat bandar, Clark, terutama membabitkan perkampungan atlet.
Beberapa venue seperti akuatik dan trek pemanas badan bagi olahraga juga dilihat masih dalam pembinaan.
