Will Zalatoris bakal melangkah ke hari terakhir Terbuka Farmer Insurance untuk peluang mencipta kejuaraan pertama Jelajah PGA selepas mempamerkan persembahan hebat pada hari ketiga.
Zalatoris mendahului saingan itu selepas 54 lubang di samping Jason Day hasil catatan tujuh di bawah par 65 di Torrey Pines, sebentar tadi.
Ia membawa catatan keseluruhan 14 di bawah par bagi berkongsi kedudukan dengan pemenang Kejohanan PGA AS 2015 itu yang melakukan 67 pukulan.
Zalatoris telah memulakan saingan hari ini dengan enam pukulan di belakang pendahulu semasa, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas dan Adam Schenk.
Tetapi eagle dalam par empat memberikan momentum awal kepada Pemain Muda Terbaik tahun lalu itu, disusuli lima lagi pukulan sama.
Eagle itu termasuk pukulan tee sejauh 338 ela yang disifatkan Zalatoris sebagai mungkin yang terbaik pernah dilakukannya dalam misi memburu gelaran sulung Jelajah PGA.
Rahm pula masih berkeupayaan memberikan saingan apabila mencatat 13 di bawah par 72 untuk bersama Aaron Rai berkongsi tempat ketiga.
Rahm melalui double bogey di lubang ke-10 dan 12, tetapi berharap pengalaman memenangi Terbuka AS di Torrey Pines tahun lalu mampu membantu kebangkitannya.
