Corey Norman and Christian Welch are set to make their State of Origin debuts in Queensland's series decider against New South Wales.

St George Illawarra Dragons playmaker Norman, 28, and Melbourne Storm prop Welch, 24, were included in a 17-man squad for the clash in Sydney on July 10.

In some mixed injury news for the Maroons, forward Joe Ofahengaue returns, but full-back Kalyn Ponga (calf injury) is sidelined.

Queensland were thrashed 38-6 by the Blues in Perth as New South Wales drew level in the series.

Dylan Napa and Jarrod Wallace have been dropped from the team that played at Optus Stadium.
