It will be a tantalising 2017 League of Legends (LOL) World Championship finals on Saturday as Samsung Galaxy set up a 2016 finals rematch with defending champions SK Telecom T1.

The 2014 winners, who lost 3-2 to SKT in Los Angeles last year, reached the finals after overcoming Chinese side World Elite 3-1.

As for the defending champions, despite reaching their fourth finals in five years, it was not smooth sailing as they just managed to edge out Europe's Misfits and China's Royal Never Give Up en route to the finals.

The best-of-five finals, which should see the winning team walk away with at least US$1.5m, will take place at the Beijing National Stadium and expected to attract a global television audience.

Last year's finals drew 43 million unique viewers and peaked at 14.7 million viewers at one point.
