Nepal teenager Rohit Paudel eclipsed a record held by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar with a historic half-century on Saturday.
Paudel became the youngest male player to score 50 in international cricket in a crushing victory over the United Arab Emirates in Dubai.
Aged just 16 and 146 days, the prodigy made 55 from 58 balls in a 145-run one-day international win.
India great Tendulkar held the previous record with 59 in a Test against fierce rivals Pakistan at the age of 16 years and 213 days back in 1989.
Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi was the youngest to score an ODI half-century at 16 years and 217 days before Paudel etched his name into the record books.
