Zion Williamson's freak injury Wednesday sparked several immediate questions, including about what his future should be at Duke.

Namely, should the phenom, projected as the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, sit out the rest of the season to prepare for the next level and limit the risk of another injury?

Veteran sports business reporter Darren Rovell put that question to the test on Twitter and the results were overwhelming: 63 percent of the 27,469 respondents agreed with the statement, "If you are Zion Williamson or his parents, do you now advise him to sit out the rest of the season to avoid injury and get ready for the NBA Draft?" Just over one-third, or 37 percent, of the respondents, thought Williamson should play again.

Obviously, this poll didn't use sampling and other common methodologies used in professional polls; it's possible that North Carolina Tar Heel fans voted early and often in the poll, as the Blue Devils are obviously less of a threat to win the NCAA Tournament without Williamson.

Duke reported that Williamson was diagnosed with a Grade 1 right knee sprain Thursday, and he is progressing as expected. His status is "day-to-day." For now, decisions about his future are presumably being made that were not being considered before last night. Already, several NBA players, including Trae Young and Isaiah Thomas, have said Williamson should sit the rest of the season.
