The Warriors' hopes of a three-peat were crushed, but the team still showed class in defeat.

Golden State took out a full-page advertisement in the Toronto Star to congratulate the Raptors on the franchise's first NBA title after they defeated the Warriors in six games.

"The Golden State Warriors congratulate the Toronto Raptors on their historic achievement and bringing the 2019 NBA championship to the city of Toronto," the ad read.

The page included a photo of Stephen Curry hugging Kyle Lowry after Game 6 last Thursday, which the Raptors won, 114-110, to close out the series. It was also the final game at Oracle Arena as the Warriors prepare to move to Chase Center next season.

After five straight NBA Finals appearances, Golden State has a huge offseason ahead as the team looks to potentially lock up injured stars Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

North of the border, Toronto went off Monday as the team held its championship parade, which even garnered a smile from Kawhi Leonard as the Finals MVP celebrated with the city that has embraced him since he was traded from San Antonio last July.

For now, the Raptors are just savoring their moment in the spotlight.
