The Warriors played their first-ever preseason game at the Chase Center against the Lakers on Saturday, and Stephen Curry was ambitious in his first appearance at the new venue.

Golden State's star point guard hurled a shot from well beyond the 3-point line a mere 20 seconds into the contest, and it fell considerably short of the rim.

Curry's airball didn't even skim the net before it bounced out of bounds over the baseline, but he had a good laugh afterward.

Curry, a career 43.7% shooter from deep, might've just wanted to see if his Oracle Arena magic from Oakland traveled with him to San Francisco. But it wasn't quite there Saturday as he shot 1-for-5 from long range.

He still managed to put together a solid showing.

Curry finished with a team-high 18 points, three rebounds and two assists in his team's 123-101 loss to the Lakers.
