Team LeBron earned the win in the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, beating Team Giannis.

LeBron James' squad trailed Team Giannis by as many as 20 points but rallied to pull out a 178-164 victory in Charlotte on Sunday.

Kevin Durant scored 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Team LeBron to earn MVP honours while James chipped in 19 points.

Giannis Antetokounmpo registered a game-high 38 points and added 11 rebounds in the losing effort.

Dallas Mavericks veteran Dirk Nowitzki, who was named to the roster as a special addition, delighted the crowd with two deep three-pointers at the end of the first quarter.

Somehow, Antetokounmpo finished an incredible dunk off a Stephen Curry bounce pass in the first half.

Former team-mates Dwyane Wade and James connected for an off-the-backboard alley-oop in the third quarter. James and Wade – who is set to retire after the season – played together in Miami from 2010-14.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard hit back-to-back deep three-pointers at the end of the third quarter. He finished with 18 points for Team LeBron.

Curry took advantage of his Golden State Warriors team-mate Klay Thompson as he knocked down a triple while getting fouled.

Curry, who was playing in his hometown, scored 17 points on six-of-23 shooting in the loss. He hit four of his 17 three-point attempts.
