The Spurs were down 23 points in the first half before igniting one of the largest comeback wins so far this NBA season on Friday as they defeated the Thunder 104-101.

According to Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, that comeback was inspired by "an attitude change from 'poor me' to 'screw you,'" which he shared with ESPN's Doris Burke after the game.

Forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points for the Spurs, and after the game he said Popovich's message was one the players have heard.

"Pop doesn't let you feel sorry for yourself," Aldridge said, via ESPN.com.

Danny Green was another big contributor to the Spurs' comeback win as he defended the Thunder's Russell Westbrook, who connected on only three of his final 20 attempts and was 1-of-10 while Green guarded him.

"It was a big one for us, a gutsy one," Green said. "We grinded it out and came back. So it was a lot of fun. Those games are always a good challenge. We came into the league to play in those types of games."

The Spurs have a few days off before hosting the Hawks on Nov. 20.
