The Raptors could have some problems brewing with their star point guard.

According to TSN, four-time All-Star Kyle Lowry wasn't very communicative with team officials in the offseason.

TSN reports:

"Per league sources, Lowry had also been dodging calls and texts from team officials, including president Masai Ujiri and new head coach Nick Nurse, who Lowry said he only spoke with briefly right after Nurse was promoted in June."

This comes after an offseason in which DeMar DeRozan, a friend of Lowry's and a four-time All-Star himself, was traded to the Spurs along with center Jakob Poeltl for Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and a 2019 first-round pick.

Lowry would not address the trade when working out with Team USA this summer, though TSN points out it's not uncommon for him to decline interviews during the offseason.

The 32-year-old point guard was in attendance for the Raptors' media day Monday and said he is ready to get to work.

"One thing about me is I’ve always been prepared to come in and try to win a championship," Lowry said. "I’ve always been given an opportunity to go out there and do me, and come back ready to go, in shape, ready to play. My mindset never changes: Come to work for the Toronto Raptors, try to win a gold ball. That’s the same as it’s been since my first year here. That's been my sentiment: Trying to win a gold ball here.”

Lowry has two seasons remaining on the three-year, $100 million extension he signed with Toronto during the 2017 offseason.

He has averaged 17.8 points, 6.8 assists and 4.9 rebounds in six seasons with the Raptors.
