The Lakers trailed the Bulls by 14 points at halftime Tuesday, but they clawed their way back with a strong second-half performance.

Los Angeles ultimately won 103-94 at home thanks to a 30-19 third quarter, followed by another dominant effort in the fourth. Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers with 22 points, while also dishing out five assists. The unheralded rookie has been a revelation so far this season.

Free-agent signing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope poured in 21 points with nine rebounds to help the Lakers claim their second straight win. Brandon Ingram added 17 points.

All five Bulls starters reached double figures Tuesday. Denzel Valentine led with 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting from 3-point range, and rookie lottery pick Lauri Markkanen added 13 points and 14 rebounds but it wasn't enough to topple the late-surging Lakers.

The win moved Los Angeles into the 8-seed in the Western Conference.
