Terry Rozier and the Knicks appear to have mutual interest.

New York is considering pursuing the 25-year-old guard, who will be a restricted free agent this summer, according to an earlier report from NBC Sports Boston. Rozier was asked if he could see himself playing for the team during a recent appearance on "Jalen and Jacoby.”

"I definitely can," he said. "This is a great organization. Everybody knows about the New York Knicks, their sports market, everybody knows about the city of New York. It'd be great."

Rozier was originally selected by Boston out of Louisville with the 16th pick in the 2015 draft and he has spent his entire four-year career with the team. The Celtics can match any deal he signs with another team.

"Just looking for a team that's going to let me be myself, a team that treats me like family and just go from there," he said. "I'm not a hard person to work with. I'm a team-first type of guy. Whoever I decide to make that decision with, I’m pretty sure it's going to be great."

Rozier averaged nine points and 2.9 assists in 22.7 minutes per game for Boston in 2018-19. But, he shot just 38.7% from the field and appeared unhappy with his role.

“I might have to go (if the Celtics’ roster remains the same)," Rozier said on ESPN's "First Take" last week. "I put up with a lot this year, so, you know, I said what I said after the season (and) I think we all know that I'm not trying to step into that again."

The Celtics finished last season with a 49-33 record and advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals, where they fell to the Bucks in five games.

The Knicks, on the other hand, completed one of their worst seasons in franchise history, finishing with a 17-65 record. They’re expected to pursue Kevin Durant this summer, as well, and also could look to trade for Pelicans star Anthony Davis.

The Bulls also reportedly have Rozier on their radar, according to an earlier report from The Athletic while New York has been linked to Celtics guard Kyrie Irving and forward Marcus Morris, as well.
