Carmelo Anthony could soon join LeBron james in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is one of the 34-year-old forward’s preferred destinations, according to a report from Yahoo Sports. Anthony and the Thunder reportedly agreed to part ways earlier this week.

Anthony was traded from the Knicks to Oklahoma City in exchange for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a second-round pick in September 2017. He hit just 40.2 percent of his shots and averaged a career-low 16.2 points in 2017-18, his lone season with the Thunder.

Anthony, a 10-time All-Star, was originally selected by the Nuggets with the third overall pick in the 2003 draft. He spent just under eight seasons in Denver before he was dealt to New York in February 2011.

Anthony has averaged 24.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game during his 15-year NBA career.

James announced last week he was leaving the Cavaliers and signing a four-year, $154 million contract with the Lakers. Los Angeles has also re-signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and added Lance Stephenson, Rajon Rondo as well as JaVale McGee to its roster this offseason.

James and Anthony entered the NBA in the same season and are close friends.
