Free-agent forward Channing Frye and the Cavaliers have agreed on a one-year, $2.4 million deal, Yahoo Sports reported Saturday.

A veteran of 12 NBA seasons, Frye played 2½ seasons for the Cavaliers, including 2015-16 when Cleveland stormed back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Warriors in the NBA Finals.

Frye started last season with the Cavs but was sent to the Lakers in February at the trade deadline along with Isaiah Thomas and a 2018 draft pick for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.

Frye has averaged 9.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in his NBA career.
