The Cavaliers aren't going to wait for LeBron James' plans to make a decision on Kevin Love.

According to ESPN.com, the Cavs want to keep Love regardless of what James decides this summer, and the team is not actively shopping Love ahead of Thursday's NBA Draft.

Love, 29, averaged 17.6 points on 45.8 percent shooting (41.5 percent from 3-point range) and 9.3 rebounds last season, but again missed time with injury. Love's numbers then dipped to 14.9 points on 39.2 percent shooting (34 percent from 3-point range) and 10.2 rebounds per game during the postseason.

The Cavaliers own the No. 8 pick in this year's draft, with a number of forwards likely available to them. Many have had Duke's Wendell Carter Jr. linked to Cleveland.

James has the ability to opt out of his contract this summer, thus becoming a free agent. But even if he does, the Cavaliers will not sell all other assets.

Cleveland has also reportedly shown interest in Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard, who would potentially be a younger replacement to James.
