The NBA is "likely" to punish the Mavericks once the results of an investigation into workplace misconduct is completed and made public, perhaps as early as next week, The Dallas Morning News reported Tuesday.

According to the report, which cited unidentified sources, there is no firm timetable for the results to be made public while details in the investigation's report are being double-checked.

Although some sort of punishment is expected for what was detailed in a Sports Illustrated report as two decades of sexual harassment and workplace misconduct in the NBA team's front office, the Mavericks, according to The Morning News, "have worked feverishly under new CEO Cynt Marshall" as she tries to make changes not only to the culture in the front office, but also among many high-ranking positions.

Marshall said Monday that the results of the investigation won't affect her 100-day plan for the franchise, a blueprint that was concluded recently and marked by massive changes in top positions.

"We are moving forward," she said. "Welcome to the future."
