Turns out, Trae Young is human.

Fresh off winning the national Freshman of the Week award once again, the Oklahoma basketball phenom struggled despite scoring 20 points in a 87-69 loss to unranked Kansas State in Bramlage Coliseum. He had scored 25-plus in 14 straight games.

Earning their first win of the season against a ranked team, the Wildcats forced Young into a season-high 12 turnovers, a Big 12 record, and just two 3-pointers made as the No. 4 Sooners recorded their lowest point total in a game this season.

Young entered Tuesday's game leading the nation in scoring (30.1) and assists (9.9), with the Sooners (14-3, 4-2) averaging 93.6 points per game.

Wildcats backup guard Cartier Diarra forced Young's hand most of the night. The K-State freshman earned the start with guard Kamau Stokes missing his third straight game with a foot injury.

Despite the poor game, Young did make history, reaching 500 career points in just his 17th collegiate game — the quickest to the milestone in Sooner history and the fastest in all of Division I hoops in the last 20 years.

The Wildcats saw four players in double-figures, led by Barry Brown's 24.
