Hawks players reportedly screamed "with jubilation into their phones" when they learned Dwight Howard was traded to the Hornets.

According to ESPN, unnamed Atlanta players were far from broken up about the offseason trade of the star center and the reason was simple — he didn't lead by example.

“You ask why, and one account was that Dwight would give these speeches before the game about how everyone is playing hard, we want unity, we’re going to… and then go out and play like a blah game where he demands post touches and doesn’t rotate as hard as he could," ESPN's Zach Lowe said on "The Lowe Post" podcast.

"Everyone is like, ‘Why are you speaking in the locker room?’ But that’s all anecdotal. It’s just crazy how these stories come out after every stop in his career.”

The Hawks finished the season fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 43-39 record, but there were reports of Howard, who has a history of being a poor teammate, mailing it in during a playoff matchup with the Wizards.

Hawks players don't have to worry about thier weak leader anymore as Howard was traded to Charlotte in June. Something tells us they won't miss him.
