Dwight Howard scored a rare 30-30 Wednesday night against the Nets, but he also earned his 16th technical foul on the season, which means he has to serve a one-game suspension.

The league announced the suspension Thursday, and Howard is expected to serve it Thursday night when the Hornets host the Grizzlies.

Per NBA rules, once a player has more than 15 technical fouls, he serves a suspension. For every two additional fouls, that player will serve another game suspended.

According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, the one-game suspension will cost Howard $162,069.

Howard is the first player this season to earn a suspension by racking up technicals. However, Draymond Green is right behind him with 15 of his own.

The Hornets center became the fifth player in NBA history to accomplish the feat, scoring 32 points with 30 rebounds.
