The Cavaliers could be in for an interesting offseason.

With everyone in Cleveland once again waiting on LeBron James' decision — this time he can opt out of his contract — the direction of the organization could be in flux.

Nance Jr came to Cleveland this season from the Lakers as a part of the Isaiah Thomas trade. He averaged 8.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in 24 contests in a Cavs uniform. Set to make $2.3 million next season, Nance could be in for a big contract extension.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Cavaliers view the former Wyoming star as a 'foundational piece' moving forward.

Cleveland likely won't make any impactful financial decisions until James clears up his future, but it's worth noting the Cavs are interested in keeping Nance long term.

Known more as a defensive ace and explosive around the rim offensively, Nance would likely have to show an expanded offensive game to truly be a franchise cog.
