FIFA U-20 World Cup, Roland Garros, Indy 500: What to watch this week
This week is set to be a good one for motorsports fans as there are three fantastic racing events taking place around the world, all available at the touch of a button for Astro Sports Pack customers. Catch the three races as well as other great sporting events showing on Astro and Astro GO this week (coverage is subject to change).

Sudirman Cup: India vs Malaysia

Schedule: Tuesday, May 21st @ 11:00am
Channels: Astro Arena (CH801 & CH802), Astro Supersport 4 (CH817 & CH836)
Despite showing flashes of brilliance against China, Malaysia were swept 5-0 in their opening Sudirman Cup game. Now, they need to beat India in a must-win encounter to stand a chance to progress to the knockout stage.

ACL: Gyeongnam FC vs Johor Darul Ta'zim

Schedule: Wednesday, May 22nd @ 6:00pm
Channel: Fox Sports (CH812 & CH832)
The Southern Tigers still have a slim chance of reaching the last 16 of the AFC Champions League, but their fate is out of their hands. They need to get a win against Gyeongnam FC and hope that Shandong Luneng, who have already secured their place in the knockout stage, do them a favour by beating defending champions Kashima Antlers.

FIH Men's Pro League: Germany vs Argentina

Schedule: Thursday, May 23rd @ 3:00am
Channel: Astro Supersport (CH810 & CH831)
Germany might finally get to avenge their Rio Olympics defeat, provided the weather doesn't get in the way again — an earlier FIH Pro League match between both nations was cancelled due to heavy rain and considered a 0-0 draw. Argentina knocked out the then defending champions en route to winning the gold medal, extending an unbeaten run against the Germans since losing in the final of the 2014-15 Men's FIH Hockey World League Semifinals at the same time.

FIFA U-20 World Cup

Schedule: May 23rd - June 15th
Channels: Astro Supersport (CH810 & CH831), Astro Supersport 2 (CH811 & CH833), Astro GO
Without the participation of defending champions England, who failed to qualify for the Poland tournament, there will be a new team lifting the trophy this year. Argentina, who have won the tournament a record five times, are sure favourites to win it again, but after what happened in 2015, Serbia defied all odds to win the tournament, it's everyone's game.

Asia Rugby Championship: Malaysia vs South Korea

Schedule: May 25th @ 8:45pm
Channel: Astro Arena (CH801 & CH802)
Malaysia face the South Koreans again this weekend at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, where they hope to fare better after losing 14-52 in Incheon last Saturday.

French Open

Schedule: May 26th - June 9th
Channels: Fox Sports (CH812 & CH832), Fox Sports 2 (CH813 & CH829), Fox Sports 3 (CH 818 & CH830)
Of last year's winners, only Rafael Nadal (men's singles), Simona Halep (women's singles), and Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova (women's doubles) are scheduled to defend their crowns at the prestigious Roland-Garros tournament. However, the Spaniard might be the only one looking likely to defend his title after recently beating Novak Djokovic at the Italian Open, while Halep and the Krejcikova-Siniakova pair have struggled much this season.

DFB-Pokal Final: RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich

Schedule: Sunday, May 26th @ 2:00am
Channel: Astro Supersport 4 (CH817 & CH836)
It goes without saying that Bayern are the clear favourites to lift the trophy for the 19th time, which is more than the next three teams' (Werder Bremen, Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt) records combined. However, recent times have shown that the Bavarian giants are not unbeatable in the final, having lost in 2018 and 2012. Should RB Leipzig emerge victorious, it will be the first major trophy in the club's history.

Super GT Series: Suzuka

Schedule: Sunday, May 26th @ 2:20pm
Channel: Astro Supersport (CH810 & CH831)
Defending champions Jenson Button and Naoki Yamamoto recovered from a sluggish start to their GT500 title defence with a podium finish in Fuji earlier this month — the pair finished last in the season-opening Okayama race. Can they continue their momentum in Suzuka?

F1: Monaco Grand Prix

Schedule: Sunday, May 26th @ 8:00pm
Channel: Fox Sports (CH812 & CH832)
Mercedes have a chance to rewrite history books when they hit the city streets of Monte Carlo as Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas look to score a historic sixth consecutive one-two finish, but it might be their toughest race yet with several drivers aiming to spoil their party. Daniel Ricciardo has fared well in Monaco and won last year's edition, Charles Leclerc will be racing at his home race, and Max Verstappen will surely want to make amends for last year's crash.

Indianapolis 500

Schedule: Sunday, May 26th @ 11:15pm
Channel: Fox Sports (CH812 & CH832)
All eyes were on two-time F1 world champion Fernando Alonso, who was aiming to complete the Triple Crown achievement. An Indy 500 victory is the only one missing from the Spaniard's collection, having won the Monaco Grand Prix in 2006 and 2007 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018, but he failed to qualify for the main race. Despite his absence, it doesn't mean the annual race will be a boring affair, with pole-sitter Simon Pagenaud set to face tough challenges from past winners Will Power and Alexander Rossi as well as three Ed Carpenter Racing drivers.
