Bouchard meets 'Super Bowl Twitter date' for Nets game

Eugenie Bouchard is a woman of her word.

After agreeing to a date with a fan who asked her out on Twitter during the Super Bowl, the 22-year-old Canadian met him on Wednesday.

Bouchard and 20-year-old University of Missouri student John Goehrke decided to take in a Nets game against the Milwaukee Bucks in Brooklyn.

The date even went pretty well as Bouchard told YES Network the night was not awkward and she was impressed that he is a big sports fan.

"He's normal," she said. "We've gotten to know each other. It's great."

When the New England Patriots were down 28-3 to the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, Goehrke decided to go out on a limb.

The young marketing major shot off a tweet to Bouchard asking if she would go on a date with him if the Patriots came back to win.

"Sure," was the likely facetious response from the Canadian tennis pro.

The Patriots made a remarkable comeback to score a 34-28 overtime victory to win the franchise's fifth Super Bowl.

Immediately after the game, Bouchard tweeted to Goehrke, asking: "So... where do you live?"

She tweeted a short video of the two sitting courtside.

They were then spotted leaving the floor as the Bucks were wrapping up their 129-125 victory at Barclays Center.

Say what you want about Bouchard, she's a person of integrity.
